Lesion detection
There is a number of lesions that can be present in a breast. We developed algorithms for the detection of micro-calcifications and masses, the two most common abnormalities developing breast cancer. The detection of masses can be divided in two main blocks, the detection of suspicious regions and a posterior step of classification of those regions, which is typically called false positive reduction.
