  Short CV

I received the BS in Physic Sciences from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1987, and PhD in Computer Vision from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1998. I belong to the Computer Vision and Robotics (VICOROB) research group of the UdG. I have about 20 years of teaching experience in the fields of Computer Engineering and robotics. Currently, I'm the Vice-director of the Institute of Education Sciences (University of Girona), and I'm also involved on the Academic Board of an International Erasmus-Mundus master on Vision and Robotics (master VIBOT). My recent research interests are mobile robotics (specifically Rescue Robotics), underwater image processing (visual and acoustical), underwater robotics, and designing activities addressed to promote underwater robotics among secondary school students . I'm more than 50 works published in Journals, and international and national Conferences related to these fields. I'm member of the Spanish Committee on Automatics (CEA-GTRobotics) (Spanish member of the International Federation of Automatic Control-IFAC).
