As a consequence of the actual digital revolution, traditional film-based hospitals are themselves converting to digital hospitals, where patient medical records, chart information, and test results are easily available electronically for physicians from anywhere in the hospital [127]. In that sense, full-digital mammography is gaining importance compared to the nowadays still conventional film-screen mammography, due to the fact that digital acquisition, digital storage, and digital display processes may be separated and individually optimized.
