Short CV
I received the BS in Physic Sciences from the Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona (UAB) in 1987, and PhD in Computer Vision
from the Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (UPC) in 1998. I belong to the Computer Vision and Robotics (VICOROB) research group
of the UdG. I have about 20 years of teaching experience in the fields of Computer Engineering and robotics. Currently, I'm the Vice-director
of the Institute of Education Sciences (University of Girona), and I'm also involved
on the Academic Board of an International Erasmus-Mundus master on Vision and Robotics (master VIBOT). My recent research interests
are mobile robotics (specifically Rescue Robotics), underwater image processing (visual and acoustical), underwater robotics, and designing activities addressed to
promote underwater robotics among secondary school students . I'm more than 50 works published in Journals, and international and
national Conferences related to these fields. I'm member of the Spanish Committee on Automatics (CEA-GTRobotics) (Spanish member of
the International Federation of Automatic Control-IFAC).
