The Citation Machine is a tool to search for papers belonging to an author or group of authors. Although it is using Google-Scholar as the source of the data it allows higher level functionalities which Google-Scholar doesn't. First of all it counts your citations and in addition self-citation tracking also available! There are a couple of features which tries to make the service even more useful like export results into pdf or excel format. All in all we intend to leverage authors to access their scientific resume in a much more convenient way.
As a piece of the bigger picture Citation Machine is a part of a larger project called Bank of Citations. In nutshell we are working on a formula to transform "raw" citations into some kind of complementary currency which can be used in an alternative publication selection procedure called Citation-Auction.
